SEO Specialist

GLIDE, a values-first digital creative agency based in Austin, Texas is looking for an SEO Specialist on a part-time/freelance basis.

ABOUT THE JOB

As an SEO Specialist at GLIDE®, you will be responsible for executing and optimizing search engine optimization strategies to enhance organic visibility for our clients. You will apply your expertise in SEO best practices and use the Blueprint SEO sprint methodology to deliver measurable results efficiently. Additionally, you will have supplemental responsibilities managing select pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

SEO Strategy & Implementation:

  • Conduct SEO audits, including technical, on-page, and backlink evaluation using the Blueprint SEO sprint methodology.
  • Develop and execute sprint-based SEO roadmaps that align with client goals and focus on high-impact optimizations.
  • Perform keyword research to uncover opportunities for ranking improvements and content development.
  • Implement on-page technical SEO optimizations, including title tags, meta descriptions, schema markup, URL structures, and more.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are correctly implemented into website code.

Blueprint SEO Sprint Methodology:

  • Leverage the Blueprint Training and SEO sprint methodology to structure SEO tasks into manageable, high-value sprints.
  • Apply a systematic approach to SEO project management, including sprint planning, task prioritization, and performance tracking.

PPC Campaign Management (Supplemental)

  • Assist in planning and managing Google Ads PPC campaigns for clients.
  • Conduct keyword and audience targeting, monitor ad performance, and adjust to improve conversions and return on ad spend (ROAS).
  • Ensure that paid search strategies align with overall SEO and digital marketing objectives.

Client Management & Analytics

  • Act as a key point of contact for clients on SEO and PPC matters, providing clear communication, updates, and performance insights.
  • Possess intermediate knowledge of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM).
  • Set up and manage key events in GA4, conversion tracking for Google Ads, and troubleshoot analytics setups.
  • Create and maintain performance dashboards and reporting, ensuring clients are updated on key metrics, insights, and recommendations.
  • Clearly communicate analytics findings and digital marketing results to clients, adapting reports to suit client needs and understanding.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE + KNOWLEDGE

  • Proven experience in implementing successful SEO strategies using the Blueprint SEO sprint methodology.
  • 3-6 years of experience in SEO, with a supplementary focus on managing PPC campaigns.
  • Client management experience, with the ability to effectively present results, insights, and recommendations to clients.
  • Familiarity with Blueprint Training and methodologies is required.
  • Experience with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.
  • Google Ads certification is a plus.
  • Intermediate knowledge of GA4, GTM, and setting up conversion tracking, including key event setups and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience training teams on SEO and digital marketing processes.

COMPENSATION

This position is on a part-time contract basis and hourly to start. The pay is competitive and what you’d expect for this role. We like to employ a crawl, walk, run approach. Start out with a project or two and let’s make sure we’re a good fit. 

LOCATION

You’re free to work from anywhere anytime. If you’re outside of the US but can work at least 4+ hours in the US Central time zone from 9am-5pm (but not past midnight in your time zone, we want to encourage a healthy work-life balance), let’s talk. You should be fluent in English and have a strong wifi signal to support Zoom video chats with our team and clients.
