Google Ads Specialist (PPC)
GLIDE, a values-first digital creative agency based in Austin, Texas is looking for a Google Ads Specialist (PPC). This role is freelance and part-time.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Google Ads Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing results-oriented online advertising campaigns for GLIDE’s PPC clients on the Google Ads platform. Your goal is to drive targeted traffic, generate leads, and maximize return on investment (ROI) for both B2B and B2C clients across multiple industries. You will lead accounts and work closely with clients, bringing a blend of strategic, analytical, and collaborative skills to achieve and communicate measurable results.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Campaign Strategy & Planning
- Develop custom campaign strategies aligned with client goals and target audiences.
- Conduct competitive analysis to inform strategic planning.
Campaign Setup, Optimization, and Ongoing Management
- Set up and optimize campaigns to drive performance and ROI across diverse client portfolios.
- Continuously monitor and adjust campaigns to maximize results.
Keyword & Audience Targeting
- Conduct in-depth keyword research and create precise audience segments.
- Adjust targeting as needed based on performance and client feedback.
Ad Copy & Asset Creation
- Write persuasive ad copy and create engaging visuals tailored to client objectives.
- Work with creative teams to ensure ad assets are aligned with campaign strategy.
Landing Page Strategy
- Collaborate with UX and design teams to optimize landing pages for conversions.
Conversion Tracking Setup and Maintenance
- Implement and manage conversion tracking to measure campaign effectiveness.
- Set up key events and goals within Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM).
Client Management & Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for PPC clients, providing regular updates and insights.
- Communicate campaign performance, optimizations, and recommendations effectively to clients.
Analytics, Reporting, and Dashboard Creation
- Provide actionable insights and data-driven recommendations to clients.
- Audit and troubleshoot analytics setups to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
- Create detailed, transparent, and client-friendly reports and dashboards.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE + KNOWLEDGE
- Proven experience delivering results for clients through Google Ads campaigns.
- 3-6 years of experience in Google Ads.
- Google Ads certification preferred.
- Clear understanding of the current Google Ads landscape, features, and upcoming changes, particularly in AI and automated campaigns.
- Project management/client management experience, with a focus on communicating performance and strategic recommendations.
- Proficiency in creating client-facing dashboards and analytics reports, with an emphasis on clear communication of results.
- Intermediate knowledge of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM), including setting up key events, conversion tracking for Google Ads, and reporting.
- Experience in a marketing agency is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

COMPENSATION
This position is on a freelance/contract basis and remote. Hourly rate is commensurate with experience.
LOCATION
You’re free to work from anywhere anytime. If you’re outside of the US but can work at least 4+ hours in the US Central time zone from 9am-5pm (but not past midnight in your time zone, we want to encourage a healthy work-life balance), let’s talk. You should be fluent in English and have a strong wifi signal to support Zoom video chats with our team.
