Southern comfort food with a Texas twist

Beloved Austin eatery, Jack Allen’s Kitchen specializes in Southern hospitality, quality local ingredients, and great value. As beloved restaurateurs in Central Texas, Chef Jack Gilmore and his business partner, Tom Kamm, know the importance of building relationships and beyond all loving what you do. Their passion for the people and the food they serve is palpable and we were elated to be a part of their journey.

We worked closely with their agency on record, Arrow, to build this new website. The folks at Arrow know the JAK team like the back of their hand and were a great conduit to getting to the core of what their audience needs. Looking at their brand and print work, we were so inspired by the possibilities of how we could translate their brand to the web.

The team at Jack Allen’s Kitchen came to us with a site that just wasn’t working for them the way it could. Orders and Reservations were going to the wrong locations. Their personality didn’t shine through the basic design. We put ourselves in the shoes of their customers, and of course ate the amazing food, so that we could streamline their user experience and visually communicate their passion.

The result is a sleek new website with a thoughtful user flow that showcases the food and environment Aunstinites have come to love, truly expressing the passion Jack and Tom have for their restaurant. All of this is supported by logical information architecture and content that is easy for busy restaurant managers to update at each location.
