How Serious is Credit Fraud and Identity Theft?

It’s estimated that as many as one in eleven households could be affected by identity theft and/or credit fraud this year and most of those occur on the West Coast. The average victim of identity theft will spend nearly 600 hours of their personal time trying to undue the damage and restore their credit, finances and life in general.

What we’re talking about is the fasting growing form of crime there is and it cost this country over $50 billion last year alone. It’s now to the point that no financially responsible adult can afford to ignore this form of crime anymore. Everyone must monitor their credit at least quarterly and be prepared to act as soon as problems appear.
